Chance Felisky

Chance has spent most of her life training to be, and working as a cardiothoracic surgeon, until she sustained a wrist injury that abruptly ended her career.

Her interest in photography began when her first child was born, wanting to capture each precious moment. She studied on her own, with friends, and within online photography communities.

With the more recent arrival of her new puppy, Sitka (a rare American breed of sled dogs called Chinooks), and with the children busy in school, she found herself immersed in the Fenzi Dog Sports Academy (FDSA), taking online dog training courses, when one day she discovered that they also offered photography classes.

It was perfect. She had been struggling to get good photos of her fast moving, young sled dog, and the instructor at FDSA specialized in just that – photographing dog agility. She spent the next year working through each of the photography classes, increasing her skills and knowledge, and asking lots of questions.

The instructor was Amy Johnson, of Great Dane Photos, who is the exclusive photographer of national level agility trials. Amy recognized her skill and passion, and invited Chance to shadow her at the AKC National Agility Championship. After that, she joined Amy’s team of photographers, and has been working these trials ever since.

Now, Chance wants to bring that level of photography to her local community of sport dog enthusiasts. Technical, artistic, and tenacious, she knows how to get things done. She’s got the skills and passion to capture the images of you and your dog that you crave.

Sadly, our dogs don’t live as long as we do, and their sports careers are often over too soon. Don’t wait until it’s too late. Let Chance capture those special moments together between you and your canine partner!
